Byron Kennedy, Founder and Managing Consultant

Byron leads our consulting team and serves as part-time CIO to many of our clients. Over the last decade he has designed, deployed and managed IT environments across North and South America, Australia, the United Kingdom, India and East Asia. Based in Oakland, California, Byron has worked with numerous startup and larger clients; including projects in E-business, financial services, retail, professional services, and high-tech.

Prior to KTG, Byron served as Director of Network Operations and IT Architect for MarketTools, Inc., a technology enabled, full service, market research firm based in San Francisco. Before joining MarketTools, Byron held senior IT positions with Cambridge Technology Partners and Pacific Rim Resources, beginning his career with an IBM systems integrator in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Byron earned a BS in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and is currently completing his MBA work at the University of San Francisco. He is also a VMware Certified Professional (VCP), a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and a Juniper Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA-FW).
